Crap Authors Eat 

My junk food stash, like, 2 days before my deadline on BEAUTY: Almonds, cashews, macadamia nuts, the BEST kettle corn ever, doritos, m&ms, werthers, oreos, and hershey kisses. AND gum. Can you tell I was locked in my office for like 11 hours straight?

I often get questions about where and how I work, so here are a few pictures of my work space.

Here’s where I usually write– on my iPad with a little keyboard, at the beach.

I also write in my home office, or out by the pool.

I’m a plotter (plot my novels out ahead of time) versus a “pantser” who writes by the seat of their pants (i.e. — makes it all up as they go along) and I tend to storyboard my novels on a big whiteboard before I start writing.  I use those little sticky post-it notes so that I can move them around as I fill in the story.

And, here’s a photo from the desk of my home office, I’m lucky to have a nice view of the pool. That said, I’m moving soon, so I’ll be posting new pics of my home office as soon as I get it all set up!
