As the Daytime Show’s resident dating and relationships expert, and the author of 7 books including Is He Cheating, I get the opportunity to review a lot of great books on the subject of affairs and infidelity. This was not one of them. This 13 page “book”, and I use that term loosely here, is chock full of spelling errors and grammatical mistakes and reads like a grocery list — or like it was thrown together in an afternoon.
So-called “infidelity expert” S.L. Carter’s book “Is He Cheating On Me: How to Know, How to Stop It, And What To Do If You Can’t” offers a number of interesting infidelity warning signs. But none you won’t find other places.
The publisher says, “Lots of books promise “signs” that your husband is cheating- usually offering a number that is inflated by rephrasing the same common-sense advice (changes in appearance? Less interest in sex?) over and over again.” This is true, but this book suffers from the same problems. Pass on this one.
More from the publisher: “Drawing from her experience as a Family Law Attorney, as well as the fact that she was a victim of an affair herself, S.L. Carter offers more than 50 unique, specific, red-flags that no woman can afford to ignore. Where it isn’t obvious, she explains why the information is suspicious.”
I have no doubt that S.L. Carter was the victim of an unfaithful spouse. I am less confident in her ability to help readers cope with the same issues.
